The 2017 summer results for KS4 and KS5 are incredibly strong - the outcomes are the result of the commitment and dedication shown by both students and staff, as they have worked together embodying the school’s ethos of Values and Care. Historically, the three-year trends for achievement at both KS4 and KS5 have consistently been above national average and it is very pleasing that the school has managed to build these.

GCSE Results 2017 - posted 24th Aug
Following the record breaking successes of last week’s sixth form results that place the school in the top 10% of schools nationally for student achievement with 96% of all students achieving at least one grade or equivalent at A*-B and 57% of all entries at A and A* or equivalent, Archbishop Holgate’s students are once again celebrating results that exceed the expected performance of the top 25% of similar schools nationally. Headteacher Andrew Daly says “Building on our excellent Sixth Form results last week I am delighted to say that our Year 11 students have also performed exceptionally well with 89% of students achieving a 4+ in English (Grade 4 is the new grade ‘C’), 77% of students achieving a 4+ in Maths and 74% of students achieving a 4+ in both English and Maths, which they should be extremely proud of. We also look forward to the Government releasing the new Progress 8 score for this cohort which should be extremely impressive. I would like to thank all our staff, our students and their parents for their hard work and commitment to the school, which has rightly been rewarded with excellent grades for themselves but also record results for the school.”
