The Sunday Times Parent Power report places us in the top 250 State Schools for A* to B at A Level and A* to A at GCSE.
The Sunday Times Parent Power report is considered an authoritative survey of the country’s best schools. It comes out a few weeks ahead of the official Government tables for secondary school performance.
The 24th edition of Parent Power identifies the 2,000 highest-achieving schools in the UK, ranked by their recent examination results This year two state secondary schools from York feature in the top 250 schools and rank higher than fee-paying equivalents in the city: Fulford is ranked above Bootham, The Mount and Pocklington Schools, while Archbishop Holgate’s is above the latter two, ranked as the 242nd best school in the country.
Data is based on % of A* to B grades at A Level and % of A* and A at GCSE. – Really it’s attainment based which makes it even better that we’re in there considering Post 16 starting points especially.
